Allow hot contents to cool slightly before closing the lid to avoid pressure build-up.

Recommendations

Do not use abrasive cleaners or sharp utensils on the polypropylene insert. Check that the lid is properly sealed before placing the container in a bag. Although the insert is microwave-safe, avoid heating sealed containers; vent the lid or remove the insert when microwaving.
