Samura Kitchen yleinen hiomakivi yhdistelmä #2000/#5000 (SCS-2500/F)

Dull kitchen knives make food preparation slow, unsafe, and frustrating. The Samura Kitchen Universal Sharpening Stone Combination #2000/#5000 (SCS-2500/F) solves this by providing a two-stage sharpening surface in one double-sided waterstone. The #2000 side restores a fine, sharp edge on dull blades, while the #5000 side hones and polishes that edge to a razor-sharp, mirror-like finish. Made from corundum (aluminum oxide), this stone works with water to create an abrasive slurry that efficiently sharpens carbon steel and stainless steel knives. Its rectangular block shape and medium-hard hardness offer a stable, durable sharpening platform for home cooks and professionals alike.

Who is it for

This stone is ideal for anyone who regularly uses kitchen knives and wants to maintain them at peak performance. It suits both beginners learning to sharpen and experienced users who need a reliable two-grit stone for sharpening, honing, and polishing. Whether you work with German, Japanese, or Western-style blades, the #2000/#5000 combination covers the essential finishing stages.

Soak the stone in water for 5-10 minutes before first use, then keep it wet during sharpening. Flatten the surface periodically with a lapping plate to maintain even contact.
