Sarjakaapeli DELOCK 86877 — D-Sub 25-napainen - D-Sub 9-napainen, 10 m, beige

DELOCK 86877 is a 10 m serial cable designed to connect devices with a D-Sub 25-pin interface to equipment with a D-Sub 9-pin serial port. The beige cable provides a fixed wired connection for RS-232/serial communications and is suitable for linking legacy printers, industrial controllers, serial consoles and other equipment using D-Sub 25 and D-Sub 9 connectors. Its length supports installations where devices are located at a distance but require a direct serial link without additional converters.

Advantages

The cable features standard D-Sub 25 and D-Sub 9 connectors that ensure compatibility with common RS-232 ports. With a 10 m length it allows flexible placement of devices while maintaining a straightforward physical connection. The single terminated cable offers reliable point-to-point data transmission without the need for adapters or signal conversion when both ends support standard serial signaling.

Suitable for

• Connecting legacy printers to computers or print servers with different D-Sub connector sizes
• Linking industrial equipment such as PLCs, HMIs or measurement devices that use RS-232 serial ports
• Establishing serial console access for network devices, routers or switches with D-Sub interfaces
• Point-to-point data transmission between devices in laboratory or workshop environments

Key specifications

• Connector A: D-Sub 25-pin (female/male as applicable to device)
• Connector B: D-Sub 9-pin (female/male as applicable to device)
• Cable length: 10 m
• Color: beige
• Transmission standard: RS-232 / serial

How to use

Identify the D-Sub 25 and D-Sub 9 ports on the two devices you intend to connect and confirm correct gender matching for the cable ends. Power off equipment if recommended by the device manufacturers, then align the connectors and secure them by tightening the connector screws to ensure a stable mechanical and electrical connection. After connecting, power on the devices and configure serial port parameters (baud rate, parity, data bits, stop bits) in the device settings or terminal software to match the communication requirements.

Recommendations

For reliable communication, avoid routing the cable alongside high-voltage power lines or sources of electromagnetic interference. Keep the cable run as direct as practical and use strain relief at connection points. Verify serial settings on both devices and, where long-term installation is required in industrial settings, inspect connector screws periodically to maintain a secure connection.
