Sarjakaapeli ShiverPeaks BS78020-3 harmaa 3 m DB-25

The ShiverPeaks BS78020-3 Grey 3m DB-25 is a 3‑meter serial cable designed to provide a stable connection between devices that use a DB‑25 serial interface. Its grey jacket offers a neutral, professional appearance while the cable construction aims to ensure consistent data transmission over the full cable length. The cable is intended for serial communication links where a DB‑25 connector is required.

Advantages

The cable provides a reliable physical connection for RS‑232/serial devices that use a DB‑25 interface, minimizing signal loss across the 3‑metre length. The molded connectors and secure contacts are designed to reduce connector wear and intermittent connections. The neutral grey color integrates unobtrusively into office and industrial environments.

Suitable for

• Connecting computers, terminals or legacy equipment with a DB‑25 serial port
• Linking industrial controllers, instrumentation or measurement devices that require a DB‑25 connector
• Office or workshop setups where a 3 m cable length is required between serial devices

Key specifications

• Cable length: 3 metres
• Connector type: DB‑25 male/female serial connector (as appropriate for each end)
• Color: Grey
• Intended signal type: Serial/RS‑232 communication
• Construction: Molded connectors with shielded cable for reduced interference

How to use

Connect the DB‑25 connector ends to the corresponding DB‑25 ports on your devices, ensuring secure mating and screw‑fastening if the connectors include thumbscrews. Verify device settings for serial communication (baud rate, parity, data bits, stop bits) and power on the connected equipment. Test the link with terminal software or diagnostic tools to confirm data transmission.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, route the cable away from sources of strong electromagnetic interference such as large motors or unshielded power cables. Use appropriate serial settings on both devices and inspect connector contacts periodically for signs of corrosion or wear.
