SAS-kaapeli Dell 470-11676, Serial Attached SCSI -kaapeli 2 m, musta/hopea

The Dell 470-11676 Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) cable is a 2 m point-to-point link designed to connect SAS-compatible storage devices and controllers. Tested and validated on Dell systems, this cable supports direct high-bandwidth connections between servers, storage enclosures, and RAID controllers. It is supplied in black with silver connectors and is suitable for rack or chassis installations requiring a reliable SAS connection.

Advantages

This 2 m SAS cable provides a direct, low-latency connection for high-throughput storage environments. Validation on Dell systems ensures compatibility and the possibility of Dell Technical Support for configurations that use Dell hardware. The cable's construction supports stable signal transmission over short to medium distances inside server racks.

Suitable for

• Connecting SAS hosts (servers) to external SAS storage enclosures
• Linking RAID controllers to drive enclosures
• Internal rack or chassis cabling where a 2 m length is required

When it may not be suitable

This cable is intended for point-to-point SAS connections and may not be suitable for non-SAS interfaces such as SATA or NVMe without appropriate adapters. For very long-distance links beyond typical rack-to-rack cabling, or where fibre-based solutions are required, this copper SAS cable may not meet distance or performance needs.

Key specifications

• Interface: Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) to SAS
• Length: 2 meters
• Colour: black cable with silver connectors

How to use

Connect one SAS connector to the host controller or server SAS port and the other connector to the target storage enclosure or SAS expander port. Ensure both ends are firmly seated and secured according to the server or chassis manufacturer instructions. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and interference from power cables to maintain signal integrity.

What to consider before purchase

• Confirm that both devices have compatible SAS ports
• Verify that 2 m length fits your rack or chassis layout
• Assess whether a copper SAS cable meets your distance and bandwidth requirements

Recommendations

For reliable performance, use the cable within standard rack environments, avoid tight bends, and keep it away from high-power cables. When deployed with Dell systems, consult Dell support resources for configuration guidance.
