Satelliittiantenni Kathrein KEA 650/W

The Kathrein KEA 650/W satellite antenna is a high-gain parabolic reflector designed for reliable reception in fixed and semi-fixed satellite installations. Operating across 10.7–12.75 GHz and providing 36 dBi gain, this compact white antenna supports elevation settings from 0° to 80° and is suitable for a wide range of reception scenarios. With a measured weight of 4.5 kg and a streamlined housing, the KEA 650/W is intended for applications that require stable performance and clean exterior appearance.

Advantages

The antenna offers a focused 36 dBi gain across the Ku-band portion specified, enabling improved signal strength and better carrier-to-noise performance on suitable transponders. Its elevation range from 0 to 80 degrees allows alignment to low- and high-elevation satellites. The lightweight construction simplifies handling and installation while the white finish reduces visual impact on facades and rooftop mounts. The mechanical design supports stable mounting and precise aiming for consistent reception.

How to use

Mount the antenna on a suitable mast or wall bracket with clear line of sight to the target satellite. Use the elevation scale and an azimuth finder or satellite pointer tool to align the dish precisely. Connect the feedline to a compatible LNB and route coaxial cabling to the receiver, observing good grounding and lightning protection practices. Fine-tune azimuth and elevation while monitoring signal strength and quality from the receiver until optimal values are reached.

Recommendations

Place the antenna where obstructions such as trees or nearby buildings will not block the satellite path. Use corrosion-resistant mounts and regularly check mechanical fasteners and seals to maintain performance. For locations with severe weather exposure, verify that mounting hardware and grounding are rated for local conditions and consult local regulations for lightning protection.
