Satelliittilöytäjä Megasat HD-5 Combo

The Megasat HD-5 Combo is a portable satellite finder and signal meter with a 5-inch AMOLED colour display for measuring satellite, cable and terrestrial TV signals (including DVB-T2 HD). It supports DVB-S2X measurements for UHD frequencies, offers spectrum and constellation diagrams for error analysis, and includes automatic satellite identification (NIT). An integrated receiver enables live TV playback of freely receivable SD and HD channels. The unit has a robust aluminium housing and an LED light on the back to assist work in low-light conditions.

Advantages

The device provides accurate measurements across satellite, cable and terrestrial bands with a large, high-contrast AMOLED display and easily accessible menu. Spectrum and constellation analysis help diagnose reception issues quickly, while the integrated receiver and preinstalled channel list allow immediate verification of TV reception. The instrument is battery-powered for up to 4 hours and can be charged via 230V or a car adapter. Results and program lists can be saved or exported via USB, and the housing includes a protective cover with carrying strap.

How to use

Turn on the Megasat HD-5 Combo and select the measurement mode for satellite, cable or terrestrial signals from the menu. Connect the antenna or coaxial feed to the input and observe the signal level and quality indicators; switch to the enlarged display mode for easier alignment. Use the spectrum and constellation views to identify interference or signal spread and check dBm, CNR and BER values for detailed diagnostics. For final verification, use the integrated receiver to play free-to-air channels and confirm picture quality. To set dish angles, enter your location data and use the elevation/azimuth calculator; the automatic NIT function will also identify the current satellite.

Recommendations

For reliable alignment, start with the large signal level display to get coarse positioning, then refine using spectrum and constellation analysis. Keep the firmware up to date by exporting and installing updates via USB, and store measurement files on a USB stick for post-job analysis. Charge the battery before extended field use and use the rear LED when working in low light.
