Why choose it

The Mescalito excels where precision and durability matter most. Its Vibram® Megagrip outsole with Litebase technology delivers exceptional grip on both wet and dry rock, while the full rubber rand shields the upper from sharp edges and scree. The extended lacing system lets you fine-tune the fit from toe to ankle, reducing heel slip on steep climbs. The dual-density EVA midsole absorbs impact on long descents, and the Ortholite® footbed adds all-day comfort without compromising sensitivity. This shoe is built for climbers who demand performance from the parking lot to the summit.

Ideal use cases

• Technical approaches to climbing crags and alpine routes
• Scrambling and easy climbing up to 5.6 (UIAA III)
• Via ferrata and protected mountain paths
• Light hiking on rugged trails with a daypack
• Everyday wear for climbers who value sticky rubber and support

Good to know

The Mescalito is water-resistant, not waterproof, so it will shed light rain and dew but is not intended for stream crossings or prolonged wet conditions. The board-lasted construction provides torsional rigidity for edging on small holds, while the low-cut collar with Autofit Collar technology reduces pressure on the Achilles. We recommend trying your usual European size; the fit is precise and technical, so consider sizing up if you prefer a roomier toe box or plan to wear thicker socks.
