GIRA 417630 is a combined flush-mount Schuko socket outlet in grey that provides a grounded SCHUKO (Type F) mains receptacle together with an integrated auxiliary contact in a single unit. The device is intended for fixed installation in standard flush-mounted back boxes and is suitable where a protected power outlet and a separate dry contact are required at the same location. Rated for 250 V and 16 A, the outlet occupies up to two modular spaces and delivers a reliable grounded connection for everyday appliances while offering an additional contact for control, signaling or building automation integration.

Advantages

The combined outlet integrates a grounded SCHUKO socket and an auxiliary contact within a compact footprint, reducing the need for multiple separate modules and saving wall space. The integrated auxiliary contact enables remote switching, status feedback or simple interconnection with control systems without altering the main power wiring. The flush-mount design provides a tidy appearance and compatibility with standard installation environments, while contact and housing materials are selected for repeated plug cycles and dependable electrical connections in residential and light commercial settings.

How to use

Install the combined outlet into a suitable flush-mounted electrical box in accordance with local electrical codes and safety requirements. Connect the line, neutral and protective earth conductors to the SCHUKO socket terminals and wire the auxiliary contact to the control or signaling circuit as required by the application. Secure the device mechanically, attach the cover frame and verify proper grounding and supply voltage before connecting appliances. Test the auxiliary contact operation with the associated control equipment to confirm correct function. Use appropriate tools and, if necessary, engage a qualified electrician for safe, code-compliant installation.

Recommendations

Use the outlet only within its rated voltage and current limits and protect it from moisture and mechanical stress. When integrating with building automation, keep power and control circuits correctly separated and ensure the auxiliary contact ratings match the connected control devices. Periodically inspect the socket and contact terminations for wear or loose connections and replace the unit if any damage or unreliable operation is observed.
