How to use

Switch off power to the circuit at the relevant breaker before attempting removal or fitting. Unscrew and remove the existing cover, taking care not to disturb the wiring or connected terminals. Align the Gira wall plate with the standard mounting frame and secure it with the original screws or those supplied, ensuring even seating and flush fit to the wall. Restore power and test the switch or socket operation. If any mounting frame or mechanism appears damaged, replace the frame or consult a qualified electrician.

Recommendations

For safe and reliable installation, always cut power at the consumer unit and follow local electrical regulations. Use a soft cloth and a mild detergent to clean the surface; avoid abrasive cleaners or solvent-based products that could dull the finish. If used in rooms with high humidity, ensure the underlying switch and frame are rated for the environment.
