Selkäsaha Bahco PC-22-INS 55 cm musta punainen ruostumaton teräs

The BAHCO PC-22-INS 55 cm backsaw is a precision cutting tool with a 55 cm stainless steel blade and an ergonomic black and red handle. Designed for controlled, accurate cuts, this lightweight backsaw weighs approximately 420 g and combines blade rigidity with a comfortable grip to support both professional carpentry tasks and home DIY projects.

Advantages

The stainless steel blade provides corrosion resistance and consistent tooth geometry for reliable cutting performance. The reinforced spine keeps the blade straight under load, improving accuracy when making fine crosscuts or rip cuts. The contoured handle in black and red offers improved hand positioning and control while reducing fatigue during prolonged use. The saw's lightweight construction makes it easy to maneuver in tight spaces and to transport between job sites.

Suitable for

• Fine crosscutting and rip cutting of softwood and hardwood
• Trim work, joinery and furniture repair
• Accurate cuts for carpentry and woodworking prototypes
• DIY home improvement tasks requiring controlled straight cuts

Key specifications

• Blade length: 55 cm
• Blade material: stainless steel
• Weight: approximately 420 g
• Handle: ergonomic black and red design for improved grip
• Type: backsaw with reinforced spine for straight cuts

How to use

Secure the workpiece firmly before cutting to ensure consistent results and to reduce vibration. Position the backsaw so the reinforced spine is aligned with the intended cut line and use smooth, steady strokes; allow the saw teeth to do the work rather than applying excessive force. For finer control, start with a light scoring pass to establish the cut line, then increase stroke length as the blade engages the material. Maintain a comfortable grip on the handle and keep the saw at a consistent angle relative to the workpiece for straight, accurate cuts.

Recommendations

Regularly inspect the blade for wear or damage and replace it if tooth geometry becomes uneven. After use, clean the blade of resin and debris and apply a light protective coating to reduce corrosion. Store the backsaw in a dry place and use appropriate personal protective equipment, such as gloves and eye protection, when cutting.
