ShiverPeaks BS75715-R punainen 5 m Cat6a S/FTP verkkokaapeli

The ShiverPeaks BS75715-R Red 5 m Cat6a S/FTP networking cable is a 5-metre Ethernet lead designed to support high-speed wired connections. Built to Cat6a specification with S/FTP shielding and fitted with RJ-45 connectors featuring gold-plated contacts, this cable provides consistent signal integrity for demanding data transfers. Its red jacket offers clear visual identification within structured cabling environments and adds a distinct color accent to home or office installations.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding combines an overall foil with individually shielded pairs, reducing crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference for improved performance in noisy environments. Cat6a specification supports higher bandwidth and reduced alien crosstalk compared with lower categories, making it suitable for 10 Gigabit Ethernet over the specified distance. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts help maintain reliable electrical contact and resist corrosion, while the 5 m length provides flexibility for desktop, rack, and wall outlet connections without excess cable slack.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections within a single room or short rack-to-rack links
• High-bandwidth applications such as video streaming, large file transfers, and VoIP
• Home networks, office workstations, and small server or network appliance connections
• Environments with potential electromagnetic interference where shielded cables are preferred

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil with individually shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Length: 5 m
• Color: Red
• Typical supported speeds: up to 10 Gbps over suitable distances

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to the network device (router, switch, computer or network appliance) and the other plug to the corresponding port on the destination device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to establish a secure connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and sources of strong electrical noise; leave some slack to prevent strain on the connectors. For rack installations, secure the cable using cable management accessories to maintain tidy runs and avoid kinks.

Recommendations

Use the cable for short to medium runs where Cat6a performance and shielding are required. Avoid running the cable in direct parallel with high-voltage power lines for extended distances; if crossing is necessary, do so at a right angle. For long-term installations, periodically inspect connectors for dust or corrosion and replace the cable if the jacket or plugs become damaged.
