S/CONN 5 m RJ45-verkkokaapeli punainen Cat6 S/FTP S-CONN 5 m

The S/CONN 5m RJ45 networking cable Red Cat6 S/FTP by ShiverPeaks is a Cat6 patch cable designed for wired Ethernet connections. It features S/FTP (Shielded Foiled Twisted Pair) construction and halogen-free materials, with gold-plated RJ45 plugs (8/8) on both ends and a 5 m length in red color. The cable supports up to 1000 Mbit/s data transfer and is intended for use in home, office and professional network setups where Cat6 performance and reduced electromagnetic interference are required.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding reduces crosstalk and external interference, improving signal integrity over the 5 m length. Gold-plated RJ45 plugs provide reliable contact and corrosion resistance. Halogen-free jacket material lowers smoke and toxic gas emission in case of fire. The cable’s Cat6 specification supports gigabit Ethernet speeds and backward compatibility with older Ethernet standards.

Suitable for

• Connecting routers, switches and network outlets in home or office environments
• Gigabit Ethernet connections (up to 1000 Mbit/s)
• Structured cabling runs within single rooms or between nearby equipment (5 m)

How to use

Plug one RJ45 connector into the network port of your router, switch or network outlet and the other connector into the target device (PC, NAS, smart TV, etc.). Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and stress on the connectors; the 5 m length allows flexible placement of devices in a room. For permanent installations, verify cable path and secure with suitable cable clips or ties without compressing the jacket.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid running the S/CONN Cat6 cable parallel to mains power cables for long distances; cross at right angles if necessary. Test the link speed after installation to confirm gigabit connectivity, and replace if any connector or jacket shows visible damage.
