The S/CONN 13-63035 USB cable from ShiverPeaks is a 2 m USB C to USB C cable that supports USB4 Gen 3x2 with data transfer rates up to 40 Gbit/s. Designed for high-speed data transfer and device charging, the cable has USB C connectors on both ends and a black finish for a discreet, professional appearance. It is intended for users who need reliable, high-bandwidth connectivity between compatible hosts, docks, external drives and displays.

Advantages

This USB C cable provides USB4 Gen 3x2 compatibility enabling multi-gigabit data throughput and low-latency transfers. The 2 m length balances reach and signal integrity for desktop and workstation setups. The black exterior provides a neutral aesthetic suitable for home and office environments.

Suitable for

• Connecting USB4-compatible external SSDs and storage enclosures
• High-resolution video and data transfer between laptops and docks or monitors that support USB4
• Fast file transfers and backups between compatible devices
• Charging and powering USB C devices where USB4 charging profiles are supported

Key specifications

• Connector type: USB C to USB C
• USB standard: USB4 Gen 3x2
• Maximum data transfer rate: up to 40 Gbit/s
• Cable length: 2 m
• Color: Black

How to use

Connect one USB C connector to the host device (laptop, dock, or computer) and the other connector to the peripheral (external drive, monitor, or compatible device). Ensure both devices support USB4 Gen 3x2 to achieve the maximum advertised transfer rates; if one device supports a lower USB standard, the connection will negotiate to the highest mutually supported mode. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends or pinch points and insert connectors fully until they seat securely.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the cable with devices and ports that explicitly support USB4 Gen 3x2. Avoid excessive bending near the connector ends, keep the cable away from strong electromagnetic sources, and inspect connectors periodically for debris. When using for power delivery, verify the power profiles supported by both devices to ensure safe charging.
