ShiverPeaks USB Type-C - DisplayPort -sovitin 8K 60Hz (malli 14-05061)

The ShiverPeaks USB Type-C to DisplayPort 8K 60Hz adapter converts a USB-C video output (DP Alt Mode) into a DisplayPort connection, enabling connection of compatible laptops, tablets and smartphones to external monitors and TVs. Designed for single-cable video transmission, the adapter supports up to 8K resolution at 60 Hz for high-resolution content and smooth motion. Its compact form factor and plug-and-play operation make it suitable for workstations, meeting rooms and home entertainment setups where a reliable USB-C to DisplayPort connection is required.

Advantages

This USB Type-C to DisplayPort adapter delivers high-resolution video output up to 8K at 60 Hz while maintaining compatibility with DisplayPort-equipped displays. It operates without drivers on systems that support DP Alt Mode, providing immediate use after connection. The adapter's compact design simplifies portability and cable management, and the direct conversion avoids the need for docking stations for single-monitor setups.

Suitable for

• Connecting USB-C (DP Alt Mode) laptops to DisplayPort monitors for high-resolution editing and design work
• Extending or mirroring laptop displays to external monitors or TVs for presentations and meetings
• Playing high-resolution video and multimedia content on DisplayPort-capable screens
• Portable setups where a simple adapter is needed to connect devices to professional monitors

Key specifications

• Input: USB Type-C supporting DisplayPort Alternate Mode
• Output: DisplayPort supporting up to 8K (7680 x 4320) at 60 Hz
• Plug-and-play operation with compatible hosts (no driver required)
• Compact, lightweight adapter housing for portability
• Single-cable video transmission; passive conversion for supported devices

How to use

Plug the USB Type-C connector of the adapter into a host device that supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode. Connect a DisplayPort cable from the adapter’s DisplayPort output to the external monitor or TV. Power on the monitor and, if necessary, select the appropriate input source. The host device should detect the external display automatically; adjust display settings such as resolution and refresh rate within the operating system to ensure the desired 8K@60Hz output when supported by both host and display.

Recommendations

The best performance is achieved when both the host device and the display explicitly support the required resolution and refresh rate. Use a high-quality DisplayPort cable rated for 8K bandwidth and ensure the host’s USB-C port supports DP Alt Mode. For stable 8K@60Hz output, verify graphics driver updates and system firmware are up to date.
