ShiverPeaks Network Cable 08-35060 Cat 7 U/UTP RJ45 patch cable is a Category 7 Ethernet patch lead intended for wired network connections between switches, routers, patch panels and end devices using standard RJ45 interfaces. The cable is designed to provide the electrical characteristics and enhanced performance associated with Cat 7 class cabling, reducing crosstalk and supporting higher bandwidth for local area networks and server interconnects. The product is presented as a factory-made patch cable with RJ45 terminations suitable for typical network patching scenarios.

Advantages

The Cat 7 construction provides improved shielding characteristics relative to earlier categories, aiming to reduce external interference and crosstalk in patching environments. Standard RJ45 connectors ensure compatibility with common network equipment. The cable’s design focuses on reliable signal transmission for high-speed wired Ethernet links and straightforward installation in rack, cabinet, or desktop patching situations.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches, routers and patch panels in local area networks
• Server-to-switch interconnects and data center patching
• Desktop and office workstation network connections
• Structured cabling patch bays and cabinet management

Key specifications

• Category: Cat 7
• Cable type: U/UTP (unshielded twisted pairs with overall characteristics associated with Cat 7 construction)
• Connector type: RJ45 on both ends
• Intended use: Ethernet patch cable for high-speed wired networking
• Color: grey (as supplied in standard product presentation)

How to use

Use the ShiverPeaks Cat 7 RJ45 patch cable to link networking equipment by inserting the RJ45 plugs into the corresponding RJ45 ports on switches, routers, patch panels or network devices. Ensure both ends are fully seated and listen for the connector latch click. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive strain; secure it with cable management accessories as needed. For optimal performance, keep the cable separate from strong electrical interference sources and avoid kinking or crushing the cable during installation.

Recommendations

For reliable network performance, verify connector seating and perform link testing after installation. Use appropriate cable management to maintain bend radius and reduce mechanical stress; in environments with strong electromagnetic interference consider alternative shielded cabling or rerouting.
