Verkkokaapeli S/CONN 08-41016 0,5 m Cat8.1 F/FTP

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN 08-41016 0.5m Cat8.1 F/FTP is a short patch cable designed for high-frequency data transmission in modern wired networks. It conforms to Cat8.1 standards and uses F/FTP (foil screened overall with individually foil screened pairs) shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain signal integrity. Both ends are terminated with RJ-45 connectors for compatibility with standard Ethernet ports and network equipment.

Advantages

The F/FTP construction provides improved protection against crosstalk and external noise compared with unshielded cables, supporting stable high-speed connections. Its Cat8.1 rating enables support for elevated bandwidth applications over short distances, while the 0.5 m length minimizes latency and cable clutter in patching scenarios. The cable’s RJ-45 terminations ensure broad compatibility with switches, routers, patch panels, and network interface devices.

Suitable for

• Short-distance patching in server rooms and data cabinets
• Connections between switches and patch panels
• High-bandwidth links for test setups and lab environments
• Upgrading last-mile connections in high-density network racks

Key specifications

• Category: Cat8.1
• Length: 0.5 m
• Shielding: F/FTP (overall foil with individually foiled pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Typical use: High-frequency, short-run Ethernet connections

How to use

Plug each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding Ethernet ports on your network devices, ensuring secure seating in switches, routers, or patch panels. Use the 0.5 m length for direct patching where minimal slack is required. Avoid sharp bends near the connector and maintain the integrity of the shielding by not removing or damaging the outer jacket. For best performance, keep the cable separated from high-power electrical lines and strong EMI sources.

Recommendations

For optimal results in high-bandwidth environments, use this Cat8.1 F/FTP cable for short runs up to the intended application length and combine it with shielded ports and properly grounded equipment to fully benefit from the shielding. Inspect connectors for secure fit and replace cables that show visible damage to the jacket or shielding.
