Verkkokaapeli S/CONN Cat. 7 S/FTP 20 m punainen

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN Cat. 7 S/FTP 20 m Red is a 20-meter Category 7 network cable designed for high-speed data transmission in home and office networks. It uses S/FTP (shielded foil twisted pair with overall braid) construction and RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts to ensure reliable signal integrity and reduced electromagnetic interference. The cable's red jacket provides clear visual identification for structured cabling and easy routing in multi-cable installations.

Advantages

This Cat. 7 S/FTP cable delivers improved shielding performance compared with unshielded alternatives, reducing crosstalk and external electromagnetic disturbances. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts enhance corrosion resistance and maintain stable conductivity over time. The 20 m length offers flexibility for connecting devices across rooms or between racks without the need for intermediate couplers. The durable outer jacket and robust connector assembly support repeated handling and installation.

Suitable for

• High-speed Ethernet connections up to 10 Gbps and above on supported hardware
• Home network backbones and office horizontal cabling
• Connections between switches, routers, NAS devices and workstations
• Environments where reduced electromagnetic interference is required

Key specifications

• Category: Cat. 7
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid plus individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Length: 20 m
• Cable color: Red
• Conductor configuration: twisted pairs

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 connector to your network device (router, switch, NAS or computer) and the other connector to the corresponding port on the opposite device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension; maintain minimum bend radius recommended by standard practice for shielded twisted-pair cables. For installations requiring grounding, ensure the shield is properly terminated according to your network infrastructure and local electrical guidelines.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the Cat. 7 S/FTP cable in shielded or well-grounded network environments and avoid running it in parallel with high-voltage power lines. Verify that connected equipment supports the target data rates. Label both ends if used in multi-cable setups to simplify maintenance.
