Verkkokaapeli S/CONN Cat.7 S/FTP 30 m

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN Cat.7 S/FTP 30 m is a category 7 network cable designed for high-speed data transmission over copper infrastructure. This 30-metre cable uses S/FTP shielding (overall braid plus individually foil-shielded pairs) to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, and it is terminated with RJ-45 connectors featuring gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity and corrosion resistance. The cable’s orange jacket provides visual differentiation in installations and a durable outer layer suitable for indoor networking environments.

Advantages

Constructed to Cat7 specifications, the cable supports higher bandwidth and improved signal integrity compared with lower-category copper cables. The S/FTP shielding offers robust protection against external interference from power lines, electrical equipment, and adjacent cables. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors ensure stable contact and lower contact resistance over time. The 30 m length reduces the need for intermediate patch points in medium-sized installations and helps maintain clean cable runs.

Suitable for

• Wired Ethernet connections in offices, server rooms, and home networks
• High-bandwidth applications such as streaming, large file transfers, and VoIP
• Patch runs and permanent link segments within structured cabling systems
• Environments where reduced electromagnetic interference is required

Key specifications

• Category: Cat.7 copper networking cable
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braided shield + individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Length: 30 metres
• Jacket color: Orange

How to use

Route the cable along the planned pathway, avoiding sharp bends and sources of strong electromagnetic noise where possible. Terminate each end in compatible RJ-45 ports, ensuring connectors are fully seated. For structured cabling, use appropriate cable management such as trays or clips to secure the run and maintain bend radii. Test the link after installation with a network tester to verify continuity, pair integrity, and performance appropriate for Cat.7 cabling.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, avoid running the cable in parallel with high-voltage power lines for extended distances. Use the 30 m length for single continuous runs where possible to minimize additional connectors or patch panels. When installing in shared spaces, label the cable ends and keep documentation of the run to simplify future maintenance and troubleshooting.
