Shred up to 7 sheets of A4 paper (80 g/m²) in a single pass with the SIGEL GT107 strip-cut shredder. Its 220 mm throat width accepts documents quickly, while the 10-litre pull-out bin holds plenty of shredded material. The P-1 security level (DIN 66399) is suitable for general internal documents, and the 6 mm strips ensure basic confidentiality. The silver and red design adds a modern touch to any home office or small workspace.

Overview

The GT107 is a compact personal shredder built for everyday use. It handles paper, staples, and paper clips, so you don't have to remove them before shredding. The automatic start/stop function activates the cutting mechanism when paper is inserted and stops it when the job is done. A reverse function helps clear paper jams, and overheat protection automatically shuts the motor off if it gets too hot. The shredder operates at a noise level below 70 dB, making it relatively quiet for its class.

Our verdict

The SIGEL GT107 is a reliable entry-level shredder for light home or office use. Its strip-cut output is fine for non-sensitive documents, and the ability to shred staples and paper clips saves time. The compact design and pull-out bin make it easy to place and maintain. If you need higher security, consider a cross-cut model, but for basic shredding tasks, the GT107 delivers solid performance at an affordable price.
