Silppuri Dahle PaperSAFE 260

The Dahle PaperSAFE 260 is a compact deskside document shredder designed for secure, everyday disposal of paper and data carriers. It features particle cut P-4 (cross cut) for extra-small shredded particles, a working width of 4.8 cm and a 25 L waste basket, making it suitable for home offices and small workplaces where space and confidentiality matter. The unit includes separate shredding mechanisms and collection for paper and for CDs, DVDs, bank and credit cards, and operates at approximately 60 dB with a power consumption of 320 W.

Advantages

The device delivers reliable cross-cut (P-4) shredding that produces very small particles to maximise waste container usage. It destroys cards and optical media reliably and has two dedicated shredding mechanisms—one for paper and one for CDs, DVDs and cards—allowing easy separation of shredded material. The design excludes the need for time-consuming lubrication of the cutting cylinders, and the compact dimensions make it suitable for placement at the desk.

How to use

Place the shredder on a stable surface near your desk and connect it to a suitable power outlet. Feed paper into the paper feed slot and insert cards or optical media into the dedicated slot for cards/CDs/DVDs. Do not exceed the recommended feed width or attempt to shred items not intended for the device. Empty the 25 L waste basket and the separate collection bin for cards/media regularly to maintain performance and avoid jams.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term operation, follow the manufacturer's instructions regarding feed limits and media types; collect shredded CDs/DVDs and cards separately to simplify recycling and ensure proper disposal. Regular inspection of feed slots and timely emptying of containers will help maintain noise and cutting performance.
