Sisäinen kiintolevy Synology HAS5310-12T 12 TB 7200 kierr./min 512 MB 3,5" SAS3

Synology HAS5310-12T is a 3.5" internal hard drive with 12 TB capacity, designed for enterprise NAS and server environments that require SAS connectivity and sustained performance. With a 7200 RPM spindle speed, 512 MB cache buffer and SAS3 (12 Gbit/s) interface, this drive delivers large-capacity block storage suitable for data centers, backups and virtualization. The HAS5300 series is engineered for tight integration with Synology systems, offering firmware and hardware validation to ensure consistent behavior, easy firmware maintenance through DSM, and long-term reliability.

Advantages

HAS5310-12T combines high capacity with an enterprise-class rotational speed and a sizable onboard buffer to support sustained sequential and random workloads. The drive uses the low-latency SAS3 interface for reliable connectivity in multi-drive enclosures and supports persistent write cache technology and optimized firmware to accelerate RAID rebuilds and reduce recovery windows. Synology validation includes extended runtime testing and compatibility checks, and the drive is covered by Synology’s limited warranty and designed for long MTBF and high annual workload ratings.

Suitable for

• High-density NAS arrays in small and medium data centers
• Server storage for virtualization hosts and hyperconverged infrastructures
• Regular full-disk or image backups and archival storage
• Applications that require sustained sequential throughput such as media streaming and large-file transfers

Key specifications

• Form factor: 3.5-inch
• Capacity: 12 TB
• Spindle speed: 7200 RPM
• Interface: SAS3 (12 Gbit/s)
• Cache (buffer) size: 512 MB
• Rated sustained transfer performance up to 281 MB/s (typical sustained)
• Designed for enterprise workloads with high annual terabytes written support

How to use

Install the drive into a compatible SAS-capable bay following your server or NAS vendor’s hardware installation procedures. Ensure the system firmware and Synology DSM are updated; use DSM’s storage manager to add the drive into existing RAID arrays or create new volumes. When replacing or adding drives, allow the system to complete any background data integrity checks and RAID rebuild operations without powering down the enclosure. Use DSM one-click firmware update functionality to keep the drive firmware current and aligned with Synology compatibility recommendations.

Recommendations

For best results, deploy HAS5310-12T drives in systems that support SAS3 connectivity and enterprise RAID configurations. Monitor drive health through DSM and configure regular backups and SMART monitoring. When possible, avoid mixing drives with significantly different performance characteristics in a single RAID group to preserve rebuild speed and overall array performance.
