Sivuleikkurit Knipex 25 06 160

The Knipex 25 06 160 diagonal pliers are precision cutting and gripping tools made from forged chromium-vanadium electric steel with oil hardening. At 160 mm length and weighing 146 g, these pliers combine compact size with durable construction. The tool features pointed, half-round jaws with knurled gripping surfaces and cutting edges suitable for soft, medium-hard and hard wire; the cutting edges are induction hardened to approximately 61 HRC for extended wear resistance. Plastic handles provide a secure hold for fine gripping and cutting tasks.

Advantages

Pointed half-round jaws allow finer gripping and access in confined spaces while knurled surfaces improve hold on small parts. Hardened cutting edges (approx. 61 HRC) give long-lasting sharpness for cutting a range of wire types. The forged chromium-vanadium construction with oil hardening enhances toughness and service life. Compact 160 mm length and lightweight design make the pliers convenient for precision work and easy handling.

Suitable for

• Cutting soft, medium-hard and hard wire
• Finer gripping and manipulation of small components
• Electrical and electronics assembly tasks requiring precision
• Work in confined or tight spaces where pointed jaws are needed

How to use

Position the jaws around the wire or component to be cut or gripped, keeping fingers clear of the cutting edges. For cutting, place the wire as close as possible to the pivot to use maximum leverage and squeeze the handles evenly until the wire is severed. For gripping or manipulating small parts, use the pointed half-round jaws and knurled surfaces to secure the item, applying controlled pressure to avoid damage. After use, wipe the tool clean and store in a dry place.

Recommendations

Do not use these diagonal pliers as a hammer or on live electrical circuits. Avoid cutting hardened steel beyond the specified range to prevent damage to the cutting edges. Regularly clean and lightly oil the pivot and cutting surfaces to maintain performance and prolong tool life.
