Kaukoputkilaukku Skywatcher SW-8105 ED 120:lle – tukeva, kevyt suojalaukku

Designed specifically for the Skywatcher ED 120 optical tube, this protective case SW-8105 combines a lightweight outer shell with internal padding to protect the telescope during storage and transport. The case accommodates the dimensions of the ED 120 and provides organised space for essential accessories. Its construction aims to reduce the risk of bumps, dust and moisture reaching sensitive optics while remaining convenient for field use and observatory storage.

Advantages

The case offers impact-resistant external material together with foam-lined interior compartments that cushion the optical tube and accessories. A tailored internal layout keeps the telescope tube stable and prevents shifting during transit. The lightweight design reduces carrying effort while providing durable protection for long-term storage and frequent travel. The closure and handle system are designed for reliable handling and quick access to the instrument.

Suitable for

• Transporting Skywatcher ED 120 optical tube to observing sites
• Storing the telescope safely in an observatory or at home
• Protecting optics and accessories during travel and shipping
• Field use where lightweight yet protective transport is required

Key specifications

• Compatibility: Skywatcher ED 120 optical tube
• Construction: durable outer shell with padded foam interior
• Protection: impact cushioning, dust and moisture resistance features
• Storage layout: dedicated main compartment for optical tube and additional compartments for eyepieces and small accessories
• Portability: lightweight design with carrying handle and secure closure

How to use

Before placing the telescope in the case, ensure the optical tube is clean and all removable accessories are detached or secured in their compartments. Position the ED 120 tube into the main padded compartment so it sits snugly without pressure on the objective lens or focuser. Place eyepieces, finderscopes and other small items in the designated accessory pockets to avoid contact with the main optical surfaces. Close the case securely and use the handle for transport; for longer journeys consider additional external straps or placing the case inside larger luggage for extra protection.

Recommendations

Store the case in a dry, temperature-stable environment when not in use to minimise moisture buildup. Regularly inspect interior padding and closures for wear and clean the exterior with a damp cloth. When transporting by air or long-distance shipping, add supplemental padding around the case and label the package as fragile to reduce the risk of impact damage.
