Sokeaniittimutteri GESIPA M8 11×17 mm 0,25–3,5 mm levyille, litteä kanta (6410332)

Blind rivet nut GESIPA M8 11×17 mm with a flat head is a threaded insert designed to create a reliable M8 thread in thin or hard-to-reach materials. The body measures 11×17 mm and the part is intended for installation in panels with thicknesses from 0.25 mm up to 3.5 mm. It allows secure bolt connections where access to the back side of the workpiece is limited or impossible, and is suitable for sheet metal, enclosures and framed constructions.

Advantages

The flat-head design provides a low-profile finish on the installation surface while ensuring even contact and greater stability. The rivet nut expands behind the panel to form a strong mechanical joint that resists vibration and transverse loads. Compatibility with a wide panel thickness range (0.25–3.5 mm) makes it versatile for different sheet metal and enclosure applications. Made to industry-standard dimensions, it enables consistent threaded fastening without the need for welding or bulky access requirements.

How to use

Drill or punch an appropriately sized hole in the panel according to the rivet nut manufacturer’s hole size recommendation for this body. Insert the rivet nut into the hole so the flat head sits flush with the panel surface. Using a compatible blind rivet nut setting tool, apply the specified setting force until the nut body expands behind the panel and forms a secure collar. Remove the setting mandrel and verify the M8 thread accepts the mating bolt or screw to the required engagement depth.

Recommendations

Ensure hole diameter and panel thickness are within the specified range before installation. Select a setting tool and mandrel suited for M8 blind rivet nuts and follow safety procedures when using power or manual tools. For corrosive environments or where electrical isolation is required, consider material compatibility and appropriate coatings or finishes.
