Sokkopaneeli Inter-Tech 88887318

The Inter-Tech 88887318 blind panel is a metal cover designed for 19" racks, finished in black and sized to fit standard rack widths. With a width of 482 mm and a depth of 11 mm, it fills unused rack units to create a tidy front appearance and helps control internal airflow. The panel provides a simple, durable solution for maintaining a professional look in server rooms, network cabinets, and equipment enclosures.

Advantages

The blind panel is constructed from robust metal for long-term durability and resistance to deformation. Its black finish matches typical rack interiors and reduces visual clutter by concealing empty rack spaces. The shallow depth minimizes intrusion into cabinet depth while still effectively blocking light and directing airflow, supporting improved thermal management of installed equipment.

Suitable for

• Cable cabinets and server racks requiring covered unused rack units
• Network cabinets in offices, data closets, and telecommunication rooms
• Equipment enclosures where a clean front appearance is needed
• Environments where basic airflow management and dust reduction are desired

Key specifications

• Compatibility: 19-inch rack systems
• Material: metal construction for rigidity and stability
• Finish: black coating to match standard rack aesthetics
• Width: 482 mm (fits standard rack width)
• Depth: 11 mm
• Mounting: front-mountable to cover empty rack units

How to use

Install the blind panel by aligning it with the unused front rack unit openings and securing it using the rack's standard mounting points or screws. Ensure the panel is flush with adjacent equipment to maintain a continuous front surface and to avoid creating gaps that could disrupt intended airflow paths. If multiple panels are needed, install them sequentially from top to bottom or in positions that best guide airflow around active equipment.

Recommendations

For effective airflow management, combine blind panels with proper cable routing and, where appropriate, additional airflow accessories such as blanking panels in unused units and brush strips for cable entry points. Regularly inspect mounted panels for tight fit and any signs of corrosion or damage, especially in environments with elevated humidity or dust.
