Sovitin ShiverPeaks 98820-2 kuva/audio Y-kaapeli 1 BNC-liitin 2 BNC-liittimeen

ShiverPeaks 98820-2 is a passive Video/Audio Y adapter cable that splits one BNC connection into two BNC outputs. It provides a simple, cable-based method to duplicate an analog video or audio signal from a single BNC source to two destinations without active electronics or power. The adapter uses standard BNC termination and is intended for applications where a passive BNC split is acceptable for signal levels and impedance conditions.

Advantages

The adapter offers a compact and low-cost solution for distributing a BNC signal to two devices. Its passive design requires no power or configuration and maintains the familiar BNC bayonet coupling for quick, tool-free connections. The construction is lightweight and suitable for temporary setups or fixed installations where a simple split is needed.

Suitable for

• Surveillance camera signal duplication and routing
• Broadcast test setups and signal monitoring
• Audio/video lab benches and AV routing where passive splitting is acceptable
• Temporary installations, demonstrations, and troubleshooting

Key specifications

• Connector configuration: 1 BNC male to 2 BNC female
• Function: Passive Y-split for analog video/audio signals
• Connector type: Standard bayonet BNC connectors
• Mechanical design: Compact, cable-mounted adapter
• Typical use: Signal duplication without amplification or buffering

How to use

Connect the BNC male plug to the source device's BNC output by inserting and twisting the bayonet connector until it locks. Attach the two BNC female ports to the input connectors of the destination devices in the same manner. Verify that all connectors are fully seated. Because the adapter is passive, be aware that splitting a signal may affect amplitude and impedance; check signal quality on both outputs after connection.

Recommendations

Use the adapter for short cable runs and situations where passive splitting will not degrade the required signal quality. For long runs, critical broadcast links, or cases requiring impedance matching and signal buffering, prefer an active splitter or distribution amplifier to maintain consistent signal levels and impedance.
