SSD-asema Kingston Technology 2000G M.2 NVMe 2280

Kingston NV3 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD (M.2 2280) provides high-speed storage with a Gen 4x4 NVMe controller, offering sequential read/write performance up to 6,000/5,000 MB/s*. The single-sided M.2 2280 (22 x 80 mm) design supports capacities up to 4TB**, making it suitable for thin laptops and small form factor PCs where space is limited. The SSD is available in multiple capacities, including the 2000 GB model (MPN: SNV3S/2000G), and is intended for fast access to applications, games, media and documents.

Advantages

The NV3 delivers PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe performance with low power consumption and reduced heat generation compared to older designs. Its compact single-sided M.2 2280 form factor simplifies installation in systems with M.2 slots while offering high capacities up to 4TB**, enabling substantial storage without occupying additional drive bays. The 2000 GB variant combines high sequential read and write speeds with the convenience of an M.2 interface.

Suitable for

• Upgrading storage in thin laptops and ultrabooks with an M.2 2280 slot
• Small form factor desktops and mini-PCs requiring compact high-capacity drives
• Gaming systems that benefit from fast game load and installation times
• Content creators and professionals who need quick access to large media files
• General-purpose PC storage for applications, documents, photos and videos

Key specifications

How to use

Power off your computer and disconnect from mains. Locate an available M.2 2280 slot on the motherboard, remove the mounting screw, insert the SSD at a slight angle and press it down gently before securing with the screw. Reconnect power and boot the system. If the drive is new, initialize and format it in the operating system’s disk management utility or install an OS directly to the NVMe drive when performing a fresh installation.

Recommendations

Install the SSD in an M.2 slot that supports PCIe Gen4 x4 to achieve the best sequential performance; in some systems the slot may operate at Gen3 speeds which will limit maximum throughput. Ensure your system firmware and drivers are up to date and provide adequate airflow around the M.2 area to help manage thermals during sustained workloads.
