SSD-levy Kingston Technology 960 GB 2,5 tuuman SATA III SA400S37/960G

Kingston A400 SATA SSD significantly boosts system responsiveness with much faster boot, load and file transfer times compared to mechanical hard drives. Using a modern controller, the drive delivers read speeds up to 500 MB/s and write speeds up to 450 MB/s* and is offered in capacities from 120 GB to 1.92 TB**, making it suitable for storing applications, videos, photos and documents. Built with NAND flash and without moving parts, the A400 runs cooler and quieter than HDDs and resists shock and vibration, making it appropriate for desktops and notebooks. This model is intended for consumer desktop and notebook use and not for server environments.

Advantages

The Kingston A400 provides faster system boot and application loading, improved multitasking responsiveness and higher overall performance compared to traditional hard drives. Its solid-state construction increases durability and reliability due to absence of mechanical components, while lower power consumption and reduced heat and noise suit portable devices. Multiple form factors and a wide range of capacities allow straightforward upgrades or replacements of existing HDDs or smaller SSDs.

Key specifications

• Interface: SATA Rev. 3.0
• Sequential read speed: up to 500 MB/s*
• Sequential write speed: up to 450 MB/s*
• Available capacities: 120 GB–1.92 TB**
• Storage type: NAND flash (solid-state drive)
• Recommended use: desktop and notebook computers (not for server environments)

How to use

Install the A400 into a compatible desktop or notebook SATA slot or replace an existing 2.5" drive according to your computer manufacturer’s instructions. Initialize and format the drive in your operating system if required, then migrate your operating system and data from the previous drive using cloning software or perform a clean installation. Ensure the SATA controller is set to the appropriate mode (AHCI) and that firmware and drivers are up to date for optimal performance.

Recommendations

Performance figures are based on out-of-box testing with a SATA Rev. 3.0 motherboard; actual speed may vary depending on host hardware, software and usage. Available capacity is lower than the listed capacity due to formatting and system use. For backup, maintain regular copies of important data and follow manufacturer guidelines for installation and compatibility.
