Install the M.2 2280 SSD into an available M.2 NVMe slot on a desktop, laptop or compatible console carrier following the device manufacturer’s installation instructions. After physical installation, format the drive in the operating system, install required drivers or firmware updates, and use Samsung Magician software to configure settings, update firmware and monitor drive health.

Recommendations

For sustained peak performance, enable system cooling and confirm the heatsink has sufficient clearance. Use Samsung Magician to keep firmware up to date and monitor temperature and health.
