Stanley FATMAX-pistosaha 2-17-205

The Stanley FATMAX Compass Saw 2-17-205 is a 300 mm hand saw designed for precise cutting in confined spaces. Its compact blade and improved bi-material handle provide control and comfort for both professional and DIY tasks, while induction hardpoint teeth extend blade life.

Advantages

Triple-edged teeth cut on both the push and pull stroke for efficient cutting. Fine teeth improve control and make it easier to start detailed cuts. Induction hardpoint teeth increase durability. The improved bi-material handle enhances grip and user comfort during extended use.

How to use

Secure the workpiece before cutting to prevent movement. Hold the improved bi-material handle with a firm, controlled grip. Use the blade to start the cut slowly to establish a kerf, then use steady push and pull strokes—taking advantage of the triple-edged teeth—to progress through the material. For curved cuts, follow the line with small controlled strokes; for straight cuts, maintain a consistent angle and pressure.

Recommendations

For longer blade life and safer operation, keep the blade clean and free of resin, avoid excessive lateral force when cutting, and store the saw in a dry place. Replace the saw if teeth become visibly worn or damaged.
