Sub-D-jatko joystick ShiverPeaks 15-napainen 10 m kaapeli malli 78047-10

The Sub-D Extension Joystick ShiverPeaks 15‑pin 10 m cable model 78047-10 is a passive extension cable that lengthens an existing 15‑pin Sub-D joystick connection by 10 metres. It is intended for use where the standard 15‑pin interface is employed to transmit joystick signals and provides additional reach between the control device and the input unit without altering signal wiring or functions.

Advantages

This extension cable preserves the original pin configuration and signal continuity while offering a longer cable run, enabling flexible placement of joysticks or control panels. The molded housings at the connectors improve mechanical stability and strain relief at connection points. As a passive Sub-D extension, it does not require power or additional adapters and is suitable for straightforward signal extension in simulation rigs, industrial controllers and remote control stations.

Suitable for

• Flight, driving or other simulator setups requiring extended joystick reach
• Industrial control cabinets and operator panels where a 15‑pin Sub-D joystick connection is used
• Remote control stations and test benches needing flexible device placement

Key specifications

• Connector type: 15‑pin Sub-D male to 15‑pin Sub-D female
• Cable length: 10.0 metres
• Function: Passive signal extension (no active electronics)
• Connector housings: Molded for strain relief and mechanical protection
• Typical use: Joystick signal extension for simulation and industrial applications

How to use

Connect the male 15‑pin Sub-D plug of the extension to the joystick or controller output, and attach the female 15‑pin Sub-D socket to the receiving input on the control box or interface. Ensure connectors are fully seated and secured with the connector screws where applicable. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, heavy compression or exposure to moving parts. As a passive cable, it does not require configuration; after physical connection the joystick signals will be extended over the 10 metre length.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, install the extension in environments free from excessive electrical interference and avoid running the cable in parallel with high-voltage power lines. Use short, gentle cable bends and secure the cable with ties or clips to prevent strain on the connectors. Verify signal integrity after installation, especially in long or complex setups.
