Taittosaha Opinel No.18 — 18 cm terä, taittuva kahva, malli 576355

The Opinel No.18 folding saw features an 18 cm toothed blade that folds into a wooden handle for compact storage and safe transport. Designed by Opinel, this model combines a locking mechanism with a classic handle shape to provide a reliable hand saw for outdoor and garden tasks. The blade folds and locks into the open position to allow stable cutting and folds back into the handle to protect the teeth and reduce the risk of accidental injury when not in use.

Advantages

The folding design reduces storage space and protects the blade when not in use. A reliable locking mechanism secures the blade during cutting, improving user control and safety. The 18 cm cutting edge offers a balance between reach and maneuverability for small to medium branches. The handle shape supports a comfortable grip for single-handed use and the construction is suitable for repeated field use in gardening, pruning and outdoor activities.

How to use

Open the saw by rotating the blade out of the handle until the locking mechanism engages. Ensure the blade is fully locked before applying force. Position the saw teeth on the cutting line and use steady, controlled strokes, letting the blade do the work. For thicker branches, make progressive cuts and avoid twisting the blade. After use, unlock the blade, fold it back into the handle until it is fully enclosed, and store it in a dry place to limit corrosion and maintain cutting performance.

Recommendations

Wear work gloves and eye protection when cutting to reduce the risk of injury. Keep the saw clean and dry; sharpen or replace the blade if cutting efficiency decreases. Use the Opinel No.18 folding saw for tasks matching its blade length—avoid cutting very large trunks where a full-sized saw or chainsaw is more appropriate.
