Kaapeliadapteri F IEC Preisner FS-KS1

The Cable gender changer F IEC Preisner FS-KS1 by Televes is a compact adapter that converts between an F-type connector and an IEC male/female connector, enabling connection between devices and cables that use different RF/coaxial terminations. Its silver finish provides a neutral appearance suitable for visible installations, while the metal construction supports repeated use and secure mating. The adapter is intended to bridge compatibility gaps in home TV, set-top box, radio and antenna cabling.

Advantages

The adapter provides straightforward, passive conversion between F and IEC connector types without requiring tools or cable re-terminating. Its compact form factor and metal housing deliver mechanical durability and stable electrical contact. The simple design keeps insertion loss minimal and preserves signal integrity for typical terrestrial and satellite RF applications where passive coupling is acceptable.

How to use

To use the Preisner FS-KS1 cable gender changer, align the F connector end with the F-type cable or socket and screw or push into place according to the connector type. Connect the opposite IEC end to the matching IEC socket on the television, tuner or other device. Ensure both connections are snug but avoid overtightening. Verify signal presence and quality after installation and reposition or tighten if necessary.

Recommendations

Use the adapter in dry, indoor environments and avoid exposing it to excessive moisture or corrosive conditions. For critical low-loss links or long cable runs, consider using purpose-terminated coaxial cables or active distribution equipment to maintain optimal signal levels. Inspect connectors periodically for signs of corrosion or looseness and replace the adapter if mechanical wear affects connection quality.
