The TFA-Dostmann food thermometer (model 14.1512.01) measures core and oven temperatures from -20 to 300 °C to help achieve precise doneness for meat and poultry. The digital 2-in-1 thermometer includes a high-quality stainless steel penetration probe with an extra-thin tip and a heat-resistant cable so the probe can remain in the oven or on the grill throughout cooking. How to use

Insert the stainless steel probe into the thickest part of the meat, avoiding bones. Lead the heat-resistant cable out of the oven or grill and connect it to the main unit. Set the desired core temperature and, if needed, the oven temperature limits. Start the timer if required. The device continuously displays core and oven temperatures; the alarm sounds and the display indicates when the programmed temperature or limits are reached.

Recommendations

For fastest and most accurate readings, insert the probe with the extra-thin tip into the center of the cut and avoid contact with bones or gristle. Leave the probe in place during the entire cooking process and ensure the cable is protected from direct flame. Clean the probe after each use and store the unit with the mounting magnet or stand provided.
