Timanttilaikka Distar 1A1R 250x1,4x25x25,4 Edge kuivaleikkaukseen

Distar diamond cutting disc 1A1R 250x1.4x25x25.4 Edge is a thin, high-speed abrasive wheel designed for dry cutting of hard construction materials. With a 250 mm diameter and a slim 1.4 mm cutting segment, this disc is built to deliver precise, narrow kerf cuts in concrete, natural stone, ceramic and similar dense substrates. The segmented edge profile promotes air circulation around the cutting zone to help remove debris during operation and reduce localized heating when performing dry cuts.

Advantages

The Distar 1A1R disc combines a thin kerf design with a segmented rim that supports quick material removal and efficient chip evacuation during dry cutting. Its 25 mm core thickness and standard 25.4 mm bore size fit many common angle grinders and portable cutters. The narrow 1.4 mm segment minimizes material loss and reduces required cutting power compared with wider blades, while the construction of the diamond segments is aimed at maintaining cutting performance on abrasive and dense materials.

Suitable for

• Dry cutting of reinforced and plain concrete
• Cutting natural stone such as granite and limestone
• Trimming and cutting ceramic tiles and porcelain
• On-site cutting with angle grinders and handheld cutters

When it may not be suitable

This disc is intended for dry cutting and thin-kerf applications; it may not be ideal for wet cutting operations or tasks that require an extremely long continuous cut where cooling is critical. For precise finishing or polishing operations a finer-grit or continuous-rim blade designed for wet use will be more appropriate.

Key specifications

• Diameter: 250 mm
• Segment thickness (kerf): 1.4 mm
• Core thickness: 25 mm
• Bore diameter: 25.4 mm
• Edge type: segmented rim (1A1R)
• Intended cutting method: dry cutting

How to use

Install the Distar 250x1.4 disc on a compatible grinder or cutter with a 25.4 mm arbor, ensuring the correct mounting direction and secure flange tightening according to the tool manufacturer’s instructions. Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye, respiratory and hearing protection. For best results in dry cutting, work in short, steady passes without excessive pressure to allow the segmented rim to clear chips and avoid overheating. Allow the disc to cool between longer cuts and inspect the wheel for damage or abnormal wear before each use.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify tool compatibility: 25.4 mm bore and machine RPM limits
• Confirm intended use: dry cutting of concrete, stone, or ceramic
• Assess required cut width: 1.4 mm kerf for minimal material loss
• Personal protective equipment and dust control measures for dry cutting

Recommendations

For safe and efficient performance, match the disc speed rating to your tool, avoid side-loading the blade, make sequential shallow passes rather than forcing deep cuts, and replace the disc if segments show uneven wear, cracks or loss of diamond matrix.
