TRANSCEND SSD SSD225s 500GB 2.5in SATA III 6Gb/s 3D NAND Flash

Transcend SSD225S 500 GB is a 2.5" SATA III solid-state drive that upgrades desktops and laptops with 3D NAND flash and a SATA 6Gb/s interface. The drive delivers fast data access and improved system responsiveness with read speeds up to 530 MB/s and write speeds up to 480 MB/s, and provides 500 GB of storage for applications, media, and files.

Advantages

The SSD uses SLC caching, a RAID engine and LDPC error-correcting coding to improve transfer performance and data integrity. It supports Garbage Collection and wear-leveling to prolong the drive's lifetime and includes DevSleep to reduce power use when idle. Compared with HDDs, this SSD is lighter, quieter, more shock-resistant and consumes less power. Transcend SSD Scope software enables health monitoring and performance optimization.

Suitable for

• Upgrading laptops and desktop PCs to improve boot and application load times
• Storing photos, music, videos and everyday documents
• Use in systems that require low power consumption and better shock resistance

Mount the 2.5" SSD into the available bay or adapter, connect it to the motherboard using a SATA data cable and to the power supply with a SATA power connector, then close the case and power on. Initialize and format the new drive in the operating system or clone your existing drive using suitable disk-cloning software such as Transcend SSD Scope or other cloning tools.

Recommendations

For best results, use SATA III ports to achieve the specified transfer rates, enable TRIM in the operating system if supported, keep firmware updated via Transcend tools, and perform regular backups to protect important data.
