Tulostin Epson PLQ-35 passbook-tulostin nopea hiljainen valkoinen

The Epson PLQ-35 is a fast, quiet passbook printer designed for high-volume environments such as banks and government offices. It uses 24-pin dot matrix printing with a maximum resolution of 180 x 360 and can handle passbooks up to 2.6 mm thick. The compact white unit supports USB 2.0, RS-232 and parallel interfaces and offers low standby power consumption and long ribbon life for reduced operating costs.

Advantages

The PLQ-35 operates at low noise levels (around 55 dBA) while delivering high-speed draft printing up to 585 cps, helping to reduce customer queues. It features a 128 KB memory for flexible data processing and reliable passbook handling. Standby power is low (approximately 4.5 W) and in draft mode the printer can produce millions of characters between ribbon changes, contributing to a low total cost of ownership. Multiple emulations are available for straightforward integration into existing IT environments.

Suitable for

• Banks and financial institutions — high-volume passbook printing
• Government offices — document issuance and record keeping
• Service counters — quiet customer-facing printing
• Back-office environments needing durable, long-run dot-matrix output

How to use

Place the passbook in the feed slot according to the guide marks and select the appropriate passbook format in your host application or printer driver. Choose draft mode for fastest output or higher-quality mode when clearer text or graphics are required. Use the provided emulation setting that matches your system for reliable communication over USB, RS-232 or parallel connection. Replace the ribbon when print density becomes faint; in draft mode a ribbon typically lasts for millions of printed characters.

Recommendations

For consistent long-term performance, keep the feed path clean and use passbooks within the specified maximum thickness. Select the correct emulation in the driver, perform routine ribbon and platen checks, and use draft mode for high-throughput tasks to minimize operating costs while switching to higher quality modes for documents that require clearer output.
