The Gigaset N670 DECT IP Single Cell (DECT base station Gigaset N670 IP Pro, MPN S30852-H2714-R101) is a compact, upgradeable VoIP DECT base station for small and medium-sized offices. It supports up to 20 compatible Gigaset professional handsets and up to 8 simultaneous voice calls out of the box, with the option to expand coverage, handsets and concurrent calls through license upgrades and additional base stations. The device features an omnidirectional antenna, a compact design (110 x 42 x 180 mm), and a lightweight build (0.22 kg) suitable for varied office deployments.

Advantages

The N670 provides encrypted voice and data transport using SRTP and TLS, plus HTTPS/SIPS and SSL/TLS support for secure provisioning and management. It integrates with corporate directories via LDAP and supports application integration through uaCSTA, XML and xHTML, enabling linking of calls with contact data and custom apps. Built-in auto-provisioning and remote management simplify initial deployment and ongoing administration. The system is compatible with a range of Gigaset handsets (S650H, R650H, SL750H, Maxwell C) and can be upgraded to a multicell solution for centralised management across multiple sites.

Suitable for

• Small and medium-sized offices with up to 20 users

How to use

Install the N670 base station at a central location to optimise DECT coverage. Connect the unit to your IP network and complete initial setup using the web-based interface or auto-provisioning from a supported IP telephony provider. Register Gigaset DECT handsets to the base station following handset pairing procedures. Configure LDAP settings if you require a shared central phonebook and enable uaCSTA/XML/xHTML integration where needed to link call events with contact or application data. For increased coverage, add additional base stations and apply a license upgrade to enable multicell operation and centralised management.

Recommendations

Place the base station in an unobstructed, elevated position and away from large metal objects or dense partitions to maximise DECT range. Use encrypted provisioning and update firmware regularly to maintain security and compatibility with IP telephony services.
