USB-A-adapterikaapeli ShiverPeaks 30-38085 USB-C 3.2 5G 15 m

ShiverPeaks USB-A adapter cable 30-38085 USB-C 3.2 5G 15 m enables a USB-A host to connect to a USB-C device over a 15 metre passive cable. The cable supports USB 3.2 data transfer rates up to 5 Gbps and is intended for long-reach connections where a USB-C peripheral needs to be accessed from a USB-A port. It is suitable for transferring files, connecting peripherals and providing device charging within the limits of the USB-A source and USB-C sink.

Advantages

This adapter cable provides a simple, single-cable solution for linking legacy USB-A ports to modern USB-C equipment without additional adapters or hubs. With support for USB 3.2 at up to 5 Gbps it allows faster data transfer than USB 2.0 connections while maintaining backward compatibility with lower-speed devices. The 15 m length reduces the need for intermediate repeaters or equipment placement changes when extending device reach.

Suitable for

• Connecting USB-C external drives and storage to a computer with USB-A ports
• Linking USB-C peripherals (e.g. cameras, audio interfaces) to USB-A hosts for data transfer
• Temporary device charging from a USB-A port within supported power delivery limits
• Setups that require extended cable length without active signal conversion

Key specifications

• Connector A: USB-A (host side)
• Connector B: USB-C (device side)
• Standard: USB 3.2; data rate up to 5 Gbps
• Cable length: 15 metres
• Construction: passive cable for direct USB signal transmission

How to use

Plug the USB-A end into the host computer or USB-A power source and connect the USB-C end to the device. Ensure the host and device drivers support USB 3.2 where higher transfer rates are required. For data transfers, wait until the operating system recognises the connected device before initiating file operations. For charging, confirm the available current from the USB-A port and the device's charging requirements; charging performance depends on both ends and the cable implementation.

Recommendations

Use the cable for data connections where passive extension is acceptable. Avoid routing the cable near strong sources of electromagnetic interference and do not bend the cable sharply; ensure connectors are fully inserted. For sustained high-speed transfers over long distances, verify host and device compatibility and consider using powered hubs or active extension solutions if reliable performance is required.
