USB-C - DisplayPort-kaapeli SAVIO CL-208 (DisplayPort 1.2, 2 m)

The SAVIO CL-208 USB-C to DisplayPort cable is a 2 m connection cable that enables video and audio transmission from USB-C devices with DisplayPort Alt Mode to DisplayPort-equipped monitors and projectors. It supports DisplayPort 1.2 and uses a USB-C connector compatible with USB 3.2 Gen 1 (USB 3.1 Gen 1), providing a reliable wired link for extending desktop space, mirroring displays, or driving high-definition external screens from laptops, tablets or smartphones. The cable is available in grey and black and is intended for direct device-to-display connection with a 2 metre length for flexible placement.

Advantages

The cable provides stable transmission of audio and video signals over a 2 m reach and leverages DisplayPort Alt Mode on USB-C hosts to deliver high-definition output. Compatibility with USB 3.2 Gen 1 ensures the connector and cable design meet common performance expectations for video-capable USB-C ports. Its neutral grey and black colour options make it suitable for office and home setups where unobtrusive cabling is preferred.

Suitable for

• Connecting laptops with USB-C (DP Alt Mode) to DisplayPort monitors for extended desktop or mirrored display.
• Driving projectors and external displays for presentations and meetings.
• Using tablets or smartphones with USB-C video output to view content on larger screens.
• Home office and classroom setups where a 2 m cable length provides convenient placement.

When it may not be suitable

This cable requires a source device that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode over USB-C; it will not enable video output from USB-C ports without DP Alt Mode or from devices that require Thunderbolt-specific features. The product specification lists DisplayPort 1.2 support — it may not provide higher DisplayPort standard features beyond those defined for 1.2 on systems that depend on newer protocol versions.

Key specifications

• Connector type: USB-C (male) to DisplayPort (male)
• Supported standard: DisplayPort 1.2
• USB compatibility: USB 3.2 Gen 1 (3.1 Gen 1)
• Cable length: 2 m
• Product colours: Grey, Black
• Signal types: Audio and video over DP Alt Mode

How to use

Connect the USB-C end to a compatible device that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode and plug the DisplayPort end into the monitor or projector input. Select the appropriate input on the external display and configure the host device's display settings for mirroring, extending, or setting the desired resolution and refresh rate. For best results, ensure the source device's drivers and firmware are up to date and that the display supports the chosen resolution and refresh rate.

What to consider before purchase

• Confirm your source device supports DisplayPort Alt Mode over USB-C.
• Verify the external display's supported DisplayPort version and maximum resolution/refresh rate.
• Choose a 2 m cable length according to your workspace layout and device placement.
• Ensure the connector orientation and port types on your devices match the cable ends.

Recommendations

Use the SAVIO CL-208 cable for direct connections between a USB-C device with DP Alt Mode and a DisplayPort monitor or projector. For high-resolution and high-refresh-rate setups, confirm both the host and display specifications and update system drivers before connecting to obtain stable video performance.
