USB-C–USB-C-adapteri ShiverPeaks 13-40003 — USB 3.1 10 Gbit/s

ShiverPeaks 13-40003 is a USB-C to USB-C adapter engineered to support USB 3.1 data transfer speeds up to 10 Gbps. It connects devices with USB‑C ports — such as laptops, smartphones, external drives and modern peripherals — to enable fast file transfers, backups and direct device-to-device communication. The adapter is compact and portable, intended for users who need reliable high-speed connectivity between USB‑C equipped devices without extra bulk.

Advantages

The adapter provides USB 3.1 Gen 2 throughput up to 10 Gbps for accelerated data exchange and reduced transfer times. Its USB‑C to USB‑C design ensures reversible plug orientation for easy connection and broad compatibility with current USB‑C devices. The compact form factor supports portable use, fitting easily into a laptop bag or pocket for on-the-go data sync and backup tasks. Durable connector housings and a straightforward single-purpose design limit complexity and make the adapter simple to use.

Suitable for

• Fast file transfers between USB‑C laptops and external SSDs or HDDs
• Backing up mobile devices and syncing large photo or video libraries
• Connecting USB‑C peripherals such as docks, monitors with USB‑C input, and hubs
• Data migration and direct device-to-device transfers

Key specifications

• Interface: USB Type-C to USB Type-C
• USB standard: USB 3.1 Gen 2 (up to 10 Gbps data transfer)
• Data transfer rate: up to 10 Gbps
• Compatibility: devices with USB‑C ports supporting USB 3.1 or USB 3.0/2.0 (backward compatible)
• Form factor: compact, portable adapter

How to use

Connect one end of the adapter to the USB‑C port of the source device and the other end to the USB‑C port of the target device or peripheral. Ensure both devices are powered on and, when required, that the connected peripheral is set to the correct operating mode (for example, an external drive set to mass storage). File transfers will proceed at the maximum supported speed determined by the slowest device or cable in the chain. No drivers are typically required for modern operating systems that support USB 3.1.

Recommendations

Use short, high-quality USB‑C cables and ensure connected devices support USB 3.1 Gen 2 to achieve the advertised 10 Gbps transfer rates; for power delivery or alternate mode features, verify device compatibility as this adapter is primarily designed for data transfer.
