USB-jatkokaapeli Goobay 1,8 m

The Goobay USB 2.0 Hi-Speed extension cable 1.8m by WENTRONIC provides a straightforward way to extend an existing USB A connection. With USB A male and female connectors on each end and a length of 1.8 meters, the cable maintains compatibility with standard USB 2.0 ports and supports a maximum data transfer rate of 0.48 Gbit/s. Magnetic shielding reduces electromagnetic interference, helping to preserve signal integrity for connected devices. The cable's grey jacket offers a neutral appearance suitable for home and office environments.

Advantages

The cable extends reach between a host device and USB peripherals without requiring adapter hubs or rewiring. Magnetic shielding lowers susceptibility to external interference, which can be beneficial in electrically noisy environments. USB 2.0 Hi-Speed compatibility ensures reliable data exchange with printers, scanners, keyboards, mice and many other USB A devices. Its 1.8 meter length balances flexibility and cable management options while the standardized USB A connectors provide simple plug-and-play operation.

Suitable for

• Extending the distance between a computer and USB peripherals such as keyboards, mice, printers or scanners
• Connecting USB devices where original cables are too short or inaccessible
• Improving cable routing behind desks, monitors or media cabinets

Key specifications

• Interface: USB 2.0 Hi-Speed (USB A male to USB A female)
• Maximum data transfer rate: 0.48 Gbit/s
• Length: 1.8 meters
• Shielding: magnetic shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference
• Color: grey

How to use

Connect the male USB A plug to the host port (for example a computer or USB hub) and insert the device's USB A plug into the female extension end. Ensure both connectors are fully seated to maintain a stable connection. For best results, avoid sharp bends or kinks in the cable and route it away from strong sources of electromagnetic noise such as unshielded transformers or large motors.

Recommendations

Use the extension cable for short to moderate extensions where USB 2.0 speeds are sufficient. Do not rely on this cable for charging high-current devices that require dedicated power delivery or for applications needing USB 3.x transfer speeds. Inspect connectors for damage before use and replace the cable if shielding or the jacket is compromised.
