USB-kaapeli Bachmann 918.178 USB 3.2 Gen 1 2 m musta

The Bachmann 918.178 USB cable is a 2 m black USB A to USB A cable supporting USB 3.2 Gen 1 (also known as USB 3.1 Gen 1). It contains the additional earth connection and two SuperSpeed signal pairs (SSTX+/SSTX- and SSRX+/SSRX-) required for USB 3.0/3.2 Gen 1 SuperSpeed data transfer. The cable is suitable for connecting devices such as printers, external hard drives and other peripherals that use A-to-A connections.

Advantages

This USB 3.2 Gen 1 cable provides SuperSpeed wiring with the extra earth conductor and the SSTX/SSRX signal pairs required for full USB 3.x performance. Its 2 m length offers flexibility for typical desktop and workstation setups while the A-to-A connectors permit direct connections between compatible devices. The cable’s construction supports the higher data rates of USB 3.2 Gen 1 when used with straight-through compatible modules and devices.

Suitable for

• Connecting external hard drives and SSD enclosures to hosts with USB A ports
• Connecting printers, scanners and other A-to-A peripheral devices
• Short to medium cable runs in desktop and office environments where SuperSpeed is required

How to use

Connect one USB A plug to the host (PC, laptop or hub) and the other USB A plug to the device (printer, external drive or compatible peripheral). Ensure both connected devices and any intermediate modules (keystone modules, extenders) support straight-through SuperSpeed wiring. Avoid using crossed or wired-for-USB2.0 cables if SuperSpeed performance is required.

Recommendations

Use straight-through USB 3.x cables only and keep total SuperSpeed cable length within 4.5 m for reliable USB 3.x performance; when using keystone modules or additional connectors, use shorter cables and high-quality cables such as Bachmann USB 3.0/3.2 Gen 1 cables.
