This USB4™ cable by Delock connects devices such as smartphones, monitors, external enclosures and docking stations to a PC or laptop via a USB Type-C™ or Thunderbolt™ 3 port. It supports USB, DisplayPort and PCI Express data transmission and is compatible with USB4 Gen 2x2 devices for high-speed transfers.

Advantages

The cable delivers data transfer rates up to 20 Gbps with USB4-compatible devices and remains backward compatible with USB 3.2 and USB 2.0. It supports USB Power Delivery 3.0 for charging and powering devices up to 100 W (20 V / 5 A). The connectors feature gold-plated contacts and the cable has magnetic shielding; the metal connector housing and reinforced strain relief improve durability in everyday use.

Suitable for

• Connecting USB4/USB-C laptops to compatible monitors
• Fast data transfer between external enclosures and PCs
• Charging and powering devices supporting USB PD up to 100 W
• Docking stations and Thunderbolt 3 host connections

How to use

Connect one USB Type-C plug to the host device (PC, laptop or docking station) and the other plug to the peripheral device (monitor, external enclosure, smartphone or compatible dock). Ensure both devices support the required USB4 or USB PD functions for the respective data rates and power delivery. No special drivers are needed for standard USB and DisplayPort over USB-C functionality; follow device manufacturer instructions for any device-specific configuration.

Recommendations

Use the cable for short high-speed connections up to 0.5 m to maintain optimal signal integrity. For power delivery up to 100 W, verify that both host and device support USB PD 3.0 and the required voltage/current. Avoid excessive bending near the connector strain relief to prolong service life.
