The ShiverPeaks BS13-68035 USB cable is a 2 m USB C to USB C cable designed for devices that support modern high-speed connections. Implementing USB4 Gen 3x2 technology, it provides up to 40 Gbit/s data transfer and is suitable for connecting laptops, external drives, docks and other peripherals that require a high-bandwidth link. The cable features gold-plated contacts for improved contact reliability and corrosion resistance and comes in a grey jacket that fits professional and home environments.

Advantages

This USB cable supports USB4 Gen 3x2 performance, enabling high-throughput transfers up to 40 Gbit/s for large files and demanding workflows. Gold-plated connector contacts enhance durability and maintain stable connections over repeated use. The 2 m length offers flexibility for desktop setups and allows comfortable device placement without tight stretches. With USB C to USB C connectors, the cable is compatible with a wide range of modern devices that use reversible plugs and standardized power and data delivery.

Suitable for

• Connecting laptops and notebooks with USB C ports to external SSDs and HDDs
• High-speed data transfer between desktop systems and storage arrays
• Linking USB4-compatible docks, hubs and displays for video and data
• Charging and syncing compatible devices where USB C to USB C cabling is required

Key specifications

• Connector type: USB C to USB C
• USB standard: USB4 Gen 3x2
• Maximum data transfer rate: 40 Gbit/s
• Cable length: 2 m
• Colour: Grey
• Connector contacts: Gold-plated

How to use

Insert each USB C connector into the corresponding USB C port on your devices until the plug seats firmly. For best performance, ensure both connected devices support USB4 or compatible USB standards that can negotiate the highest available bandwidth. Avoid excessive bending near connector ends and route the cable to prevent tight loops or pinching. When transferring large volumes of data, confirm that source and destination devices are configured for the required transfer modes and have up-to-date firmware or drivers where applicable.

Recommendations

Use the cable in environments with moderate physical stress and avoid exposure to liquids or extreme temperatures. For consistent high-speed operation, connect directly to host ports that support USB4 Gen 3x2 rather than through passive adapters or uncertified hubs. Store the cable coiled loosely and unplug by holding the connector body rather than pulling the cable to prolong connector life.
