USB-sovitin DeLOCK USB 3.0-B M - USB 3.0-A FM 65179

This USB 3.0 adapter from DELOCK converts a USB 3.0-B male connector into a USB 3.0-A female connector, allowing devices with USB-B ports to connect to standard USB-A cables and hubs. It supports the USB 3.0 specification and is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices. The adapter has nickel-plated contacts and comes in a black finish.

Advantages

The adapter supports data transfer rates up to 5 Gb/s according to the USB 3.0 specification. Nickel-plated contacts improve contact reliability and corrosion resistance. Its compact inline design makes it easy to add compatibility between USB-B devices and USB-A ports without replacing cables.

Suitable for

• Connecting external hard drives or docking stations with USB 3.0-B ports to computers with USB 3.0-A ports
• Adapting USB-B peripheral cables to standard USB-A hosts
• Using legacy USB 2.0/1.1 devices through a USB 3.0-A port (at lower speeds)

How to use

Plug the USB 3.0-B male end of the adapter into the USB-B port of your device (for example, an external drive or docking station). Then connect a standard USB 3.0-A cable to the adapter's USB-A female connector and plug the other end into the host computer or hub. The adapter is passive and requires no drivers; the connection will operate at the maximum mutual speed supported by both devices.

Recommendations

For best performance, use high-quality USB 3.0 cables and connect to USB 3.0-A ports on the host. If you connect older USB 2.0 or USB 1.1 devices, data transfer will be limited to their maximum supported speeds.
