USB Type-C – DisplayPort audio- ja videomuunnin MediaRange MRCS235, 20 cm kaapeli, musta

The MediaRange USB Type-C to DisplayPort Audio and Video Converter MRCS235 is a compact adapter with a fixed 20 cm cable that transmits audio and video from USB-C enabled devices to DisplayPort displays. It supports high-resolution output and provides a straightforward plug-and-play connection for laptops, tablets and smartphones with USB-C ports to monitors, TVs or projectors with DisplayPort input. The adapter is designed for portable use and simple setup without requiring additional drivers.

Advantages

This converter supports ultra-high resolutions up to 7680 x 4320 at 60 Hz and offers data transfer capability suitable for demanding video tasks. Gold-plated contacts improve signal stability and corrosion resistance, while the short, fixed 20 cm cable and lightweight housing make the unit easy to carry and install. Compatibility across common platforms such as Windows, macOS and many Android devices ensures broad usability with minimal configuration.

Suitable for

• Connecting USB-C laptops or tablets to DisplayPort monitors for extended desktop or mirroring
• Presentations with portable computers to DisplayPort-equipped projectors or meeting-room displays
• High-resolution video playback, streaming and basic video editing workflows
• Home entertainment setups that require a USB-C source to feed a DisplayPort display

When it may not be suitable

The converter requires a source device that supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode over USB-C; devices without DP Alt Mode or with USB-C ports limited to power/USB data only will not output video. It is a unidirectional adapter meant to send signal from USB-C to DisplayPort and cannot convert DisplayPort signals back to USB-C or perform active format conversion beyond what the source supports.

How to use

Connect the USB Type-C plug of the MRCS235 into a USB-C port on your laptop, tablet or smartphone that supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode. Plug a DisplayPort cable from the adapter's DisplayPort outlet to the monitor, TV or projector. Power on both devices and select the appropriate input on the display. The adapter is plug-and-play on Windows, macOS and compatible Android devices; no driver installation is normally required. Adjust output resolution and display mode (mirror, extend) through the host device's display settings as needed.

What to consider before purchase

• Confirm the source device supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode over USB-C
• Check the display accepts DisplayPort input and supports the desired resolution and refresh rate
• Ensure a suitable DisplayPort cable is available or purchased separately if not included
• Recognize the adapter is unidirectional (USB-C to DisplayPort only)

Recommendations

For consistent 8K output at 60 Hz, use a compatible host and DisplayPort display certified for those modes and keep cable runs short. When using high resolutions or multi-monitor setups, adjust the host device's display settings to match the display's native resolution and refresh rate. Store the compact adapter in protective packaging when travelling to avoid connector damage.
