Stay Safe. Whenever. Wherever. Home Security Wi-Fi Camera with motion detection, night vision and two-way audio designed for everyday monitoring. The camera records 1080p high-definition video, supports local microSD storage up to 128 GB and allows you to set custom motion detection zones. Privacy mode lets you disable surveillance when needed, and the alarm system can trigger lights and sounds while sending notifications to your phone.

Advantages

Motion detection delivers notifications and short video clips for events in the monitored area. Night vision reaches up to 30 ft for clear monitoring in low light. Two-way audio enables real-time communication through the built-in microphone and speaker. Local storage with a microSD card keeps recordings on-site, and privacy mode allows quick shutdown of surveillance. The alarm function provides audible and visual alerts when motion is detected.

Key specifications

Video resolution: 1080p HD
Night vision range: up to 30 ft (approximately 9 m)
Motion detection with configurable zones
Two-way audio: built-in microphone and speaker
Local storage: microSD card up to 128 GB (up to 384 hours based on laboratory conditions)
Privacy mode: manual surveillance shutdown
Alarm: lights and sounds plus push notifications

How to use

Install the camera in the desired location and connect it to your Wi‑Fi network following the manufacturer's setup instructions. Configure motion detection zones and sensitivity in the app to limit alerts to relevant areas. Insert a microSD card up to 128 GB if you want local recording; the device will store footage locally and overwrite old files as needed. Use the app to access live video, review recorded clips, enable privacy mode, and speak via two-way audio.

Recommendations

Place the camera at a height and angle that covers the intended area without obstructions, avoid pointing directly at bright light sources, and test motion zones after installation to reduce false notifications. Regularly back up important clips from the microSD card and keep the camera firmware up to date.

8/10

Loppuarvio: The Tapo C100 is not exactly feature-packed, but it's very cheap and very cheerful stick a microSD card in it and you've got effective monitoring and recording for a knock-down price. It's a shame you can't use it to trigger other Tapo hardware. Reasons to...
