Velleman KSR18 aurinkokäyttöinen 14-in-1 opetusrobottirakennussarja

The Velleman KSR18 stands out by combining 14 different robot configurations into a single solar-powered kit, letting builders explore walking, rolling, and floating mechanisms without batteries. This multi-model approach encourages experimentation with gear ratios and solar energy, making it a practical introduction to renewable-powered mechanics.

Highlights

• 14-in-1 solar robot kit: build 14 distinct models from one set of parts
• Powered by a solar panel — no batteries required, just sunlight
• Models can walk, roll, or float, demonstrating different drive systems
• Recommended for ages 14 and up; no soldering needed
• Assembly required; side cutters and a small screwdriver are needed (not included)

In daily use

The KSR18 is a hands-on STEM project that teaches mechanical assembly and solar energy principles. Each model uses a gearbox-driven DC motor, and the clear plastic parts allow you to see the gears in action. Because it relies on direct sunlight, it works best outdoors on sunny days or under a strong artificial light source.
